Frédéric Duguay is Executive Vice President and Chief Legal and Information Officer at the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB). He joined the CIB in November 2018 as its first General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.
In his role, Frédéric leads the CIB’s legal, governance and information functions. Gerrit Yau is the Director of Legal Affairs and Legal Counsel at the Toronto Blue Jays. In his role, Gerrit is a part of the Blue Jays’ AI Committee, helping the organization to assess use case opportunities and implement AI technologies within the unique parameters of the baseball industry.
Prior to joining the Blue Jays, Gerrit was an associate at a national law firm and specialized in artificial intelligence, intellectual property, privacy, and sports and entertainment. In that role, Gerrit advised clients on AI governance and emerging practices/considerations, and he assisted various organizations with the preparation of submissions for the Canadian government’s Consultation on Copyright in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.
